What is the ósmosis?

The ósmosis is a process related with the physics and the chemistry that is essential for the survival of the cells, as well as in the cellular metabolism of the living beings.

In the Greek is where can find the etymological origin of the term ósmosis. In concrete, can establish that the same proceeds of the word osmosis that is formed by two very differentiated parts: osmos, that means impulse, and the suffix –sis that it can translate like action.

What is the ósmosis?

We can define the ósmosis like a phenomenon of diffusion of water by means of a membrane semipermeable, which is that that possesses pores, resembled any filter of molecular size.
